The International Defensive Pistol Association
IDPA is the governing body of a shooting sport that simulates self-defense scenarios and real life encounters. The main goal is to test the skill and ability of the individual, not equipment or gamesmanship. “Competition only” equipment is not permitted in this sport.
The MSU CENTERFIRE Shooting Club (formerly the MSU Rifle and Pistol Club) is a registered student organization dedicated to recreational and competitive shooting sports. Our members include students from a wide range of majors who share an interest in firearms and shooting. Nearly all of our members enjoy attending our monthly clay pigeon outings, and we have a core of 2-gun marksmen that attend the Combat Rifle Championship every summer.
