Junior .22 Rifle Club – 2026 Summer Season

We are looking forward to another exciting summer with the Junior .22 Rimfire Club!

All children ages 10–17 are welcome to join us. There is no cost, and you do not need to be a COSC member to participate.

All students will receive instruction in the safe handling and shooting of rifles in a structured and supportive environment.

Participants will have the opportunity to earn patches, certificates, and medals through the NRA Marksmanship Program.

2026 Schedule

  • Mondays
  • 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM
  • Begins May 4 (weather permitting)
  • Ends August 31 with our annual cookout and family shooting event

What Juniors Will Learn

Participants will receive instruction focused on:

  • Safe and responsible handling of rifles
  • Proper shooting techniques and range procedures
  • Shooting positions used in target shooting
  • Target practice and skill development
  • The NRA Marksman Program progression

This program is designed to build confidence, discipline, and strong shooting fundamentals.

Equipment

COSC provides:

  • Rifles
  • Ammunition
  • Targets

Participants should bring their own ear and eye protection.

Range Safety Officers

Returning Range Safety Officers (RSOs) are asked to contact Randy so he can coordinate staffing for the season.
