Junior .22 Rifle Club – 2026 Summer Season

The Junior .22 Rifle Club will return for the 2026 summer season.

Juniors ages 10-17 are welcome to participate.

Sessions are typically held on Monday evenings from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM.

Rifles, ammunition, and targets are provided by the Chief Okemos Sportsman’s Club.

What Juniors Will Learn

Participants will receive instruction focused on:

• Safe and responsible handling of rifles
• Proper shooting techniques and safety procedures
• Shooting positions used in target shooting
• Target shooting practice
• Dueling trees
• The NRA Marksman Program

This program is designed to build confidence, discipline, and strong shooting fundamentals in a safe and structured environment.

Equipment

All rifles, ammunition, and targets are provided.
Participants should bring their own ear and eye protection.
