
Junior Hi-Power Rifle Program – 2026
The Junior Hi-Power program will return for the 2026 season. The official start date and full class schedule are currently being finalized and will be announced soon.
Classes are typically held on the 200-yard range on Monday evenings through late June.
Sessions begin at 5:30 PM and run until approximately 8:00 PM, depending on daylight conditions.
This program is FREE of charge.
About the Program
This program is designed for juniors (age 14 and up) who:
- Want to learn how to properly shoot a high-power rifle
- Want to develop safe rifle handling skills and procedures
- Simply enjoy shooting and want to improve their marksmanship
Instruction focuses on safety, fundamentals, and responsible firearm handling in a structured, supportive environment.
Junior Requirements
Participants must:
- Be mature enough to understand and follow range safety rules and procedures
- Be physically able to safely hold and shoot a .223 and/or 30.06 caliber rifle (approximately 7-9 lbs)
Equipment & Cost
COSC provides:
- Instruction
- Rifles
- Ammunition
There is no cost to junior participants or their parents.
Participants should bring their own ear and eye protection.
Adult Participation
Adults may attend and participate if space is available, but priority is always given to junior shooters.
Adults must provide their own rifles and ammunition.
